Self-regulation for the Reduction of CO2-Emissions

Hamburg Airport relies on modern, environmentally friendly technology. This shows in the premises engineering, in the vehicles used and operating procedures. With regards to energy supply, Hamburg Airport is a precursor for future-oriented technology. In the past years, the CO2-emissions were reduced by approx. 11,600t per year. This is equal to an average annual emission of 5,800 medium-sized cars (according to the emissions calculator atmosfair).

Hamburg Airport has made a commitment to the senate to save a further 1,700t, in addition to the 11,600t of CO2 per year.
