    Evaluation of the measuring data

The threshold values of the 22nd BImSchV for SO2, NO2, CO, PM10 and benzene are adhered to safely. The values for Sulphur dioxide, airborne particles (PM10) and benzene are in line with the low concentrations at the edge of town. In case of NO2 however, both the annual mean and the maximum daily and hourly mean are slightly higher when compared to other typical edge-of town locations. For an evaluation of the ozone concentration, the 33rd BImSchV is consulted. That is where a target value for the highest mean of one day of 120 µg/m³ with 25 allowed excesses per year. This target value, which must only be adhered to from 2010 onwards, was exceeded 8 times in 2007 at the measuring station Airport. The threshold value for public information of 180 µg/m³ as a one-hour mean was generally not exceeded in Hamburg.
