The Airport Model Exhibition represents a miniature version of Hamburg Airport, including all the buildings, taxiways as well as runways and landing strips. More than 5000 light-emitting diodes illuminate the night view of the premises, and model planes take off as if by magic before safely touching down after a brief flight.

The comprehensive tour of the apron offers a fascinating insight into what happens behind the scenes. Witness the aircraft handling operations in front of your very eyes and marvel at the original facilities such as fuel depot, General Aviation Terminal and the other terminals right from the apron. Upon request, it is also possible to visit the airport fire brigade with its impressive fire engines.
